BodyWorks Covid Update

I know we’re all more than a little covid fatigued at this point – even our favorite TV shows have some covid central theme to it. The news is filled with covid updates and case numbers and testing and…you get the idea. And unfortunately, this email also talks about covid! Apologies, but it’s gotta be done.

Before I head into a couple of covid updates for our office, I just want to remind everyone how important it is to eat well, exercise, rest, and breathe. These are our best natural tools to help fend off covid. If you need any mental health services, please reach out and we can give you a referral.

A reminder for patients coming into the office:
* Please wear your mask before coming into the office and make sure it covers your mouth and nose. If you don’t have one, we will provide one for you.

* If you have had any exposure to covid, or suspected exposure, or have ANY symptoms of covid, we will reschedule your appointment
* If you’ve been in any indoor gatherings of more than 10 people or 2 households, we will reschedule your appointment
* If you’ve been in any outdoor gatherings of more than 25 people, we will reschedule your appointment

Admittedly, that all sounds like a broken record, but because of the holidays and increased chances of community spread, we are being extra diligent to make sure that we’re all safe. We totally get that this time of year is for family, but we are just abiding by rules and regulations. Trust me, we’d all rather hear some crazy holiday stories at BodyWorks than having to hunker down. However, BodyWorks is taking these orders seriously and we’re abiding by them. The rules aren’t personal, they just are.

Also, we have a change to our scheduling procedures for at least the next several weeks. For chiropractic appointments, we are booking every other spot. So, if you have an appointment at 9am, the next patient after you will be scheduled at 9:40. The length of our appointments is the same: 20 minutes (unless you’re here for a re-exam or x-rays), so that this way we will have 15-20 minutes with the office clear of patients. This is going to drastically reduce the flow of people into our office to help keep everyone safe.

This isn’t something that was asked of us, but something we are voluntarily doing to help keep BodyWorks as safe as we can make it during a global pandemic. Because the number of patients coming into our office will be less, please be patient with us as we try to accommodate your appointment requests. It may take a bit longer to get an appointment time, so if you think you’ll need one (if you’re not already scheduled) please give us a call or email to set something up.

It is also important to cancel your appointment with at least 24 hours notice so that we can get someone in who would like your appointment time. We get that things come up last minute, but please call if you cannot make your appointment.  Please do not text – we don’t receive texts.

As always, we are still implementing our other covid procedures. If you’d like to read them, click here and click on the ‘Covid-19 Update’ just below the header.

Finally, the rules and situations are always changing, and like many other businesses, BodyWorks is adapting as best as we can to them. They’re not always fun, but the bottom line is that any of us at BodyWorks would hate it if this office became a place where someone got covid and got seriously ill or took it home to a loved one who became seriously ill. We’re also doing our best to ensure that BodyWorks can stay open and continue to serve people and help them feel better.

Thank you for your cooperation! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out with a phone call or an email.

Looking forward to seeing you at your next appointment!
